It’s our goal to bring you products with both the best ingredients and enough milligrams to get the benefit you’re looking for at the best possible value. With the hemp industry being turned loose, and very few regulations in place, there are a lot of problems in this industry.
CBD is the most prevalent isolate found, way more CBD in the hemp plant than any other isolate. However, there are significant benefits of other isolates and that’s why we add CBG to our product. The next thing to consider is the Carrier oil. We use a full spectrum oil from cold pressed unrefined hemp seed oil. Without question this is the best natural Carrier for the isolates. Not the cheapest oil however clearly the best.
We now face companies who either do not put in the bottle what they say on the label, or worse than that, are using fillers and carriers that are far less than optimal. One of the largest problems we encounter, even with companies trying to do the right thing, they follow the lead of other companies in producing bottles of product that are in fact good product, however very low potency or very low in milligrams, even 500 mg or less in a bottle.
The best illustration I have heard is that of a bic lighter. You can hurt yourself or even burn a forest down, however, if you take a 6 qt saucepan and fill it with water, you can use the entire lighter’s fuel and never change the temperature in that saucepan even 1ﾟ.
You see there’s more evaporation and loss through the sidewalls than there are BTU’s so you simply get no effect. The same happens with nutrition in general and is happening constantly in this hemp Isolate world. There are many companies producing great product, however there’s just so few milligrams that it cannot effectively care for health benefits in you or your pets.
Jeff earned his Class A Civil Engineering License from the State of California in 1985. He has more than 37 years in that industry. During part of those years, simultaneously grew a substantial customer base with The Wellness Company which he still contributes to today. Jeff enjoys golfing, and many activities in the great outdoors with his dogs and his wife of 42 years.
Why did you start Life Discovery Lab?
It started a little over 4 years ago when I was trying to find a product to help our older German Longhaired Pointer, Scout. We tried many things, including several different types of CBD products. Everything we tried had little or no effect. We were trying to stay away from prescription meds because as you know, the side effects can be brutal.
I was introduced to a biochemist, Larry Norder, who has now partnered with us. He made me a bottle of product and we picked it up and went on a one-week hunt. In 3 days we could not believe the change in our Scout. He could get in and out of the camper on his own and his recovery overnight after a hunt was amazing. Then, in a few weeks, the gray in his eyes cleared up. His incontinence improved. We can tell you that it reversed his age issues by at least a couple of years. We were thrilled.
Then we saw incredible changes in the health of both people and dogs when given enough of the right product. We saw people and pets go from life-threatening issues and even being told there was nothing else that could be done for them to completely cleared up and still doing well today. We saw seizure issues in pets disappear and anxiety issues lessen greatly.
The more we’ve learned the more we wanted to bring a quality product to people and their pets. Products with enough milligrams to get the job done, and demonstrate help and improvement that people are looking for themselves and their pets. Our goal is to educate consumers and become your first choice when looking for hemp-based and soon other plant-based products.
Larry Norder has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. He has led chemistry aspects of early stage R&D, preclinical and clinical development programs for such products as naproxen™, mycophenylate mofetil™, gancyclovir™, ketorolac tromethamine™, nafarelin acetate™, palonosetron™, and topical corticosteroids™. He has also been responsible for top-line revenues for contract research and manufacturing, cheminformatic and bioinformatic software, and associated services.
Most recently, Larry has turned to the application of these set of skills to innovation and manufacturing in the nutraceuticals and natural supplements world. He has developed novel technologies to increase transdermal delivery of BCS Class II molecules, oral formulations to increase bioavailability and inhalation formulations for increased safety and efficacy. He has also developed novel methods of extraction, isolation and characterization of desirable phytochemicals.
Larry earned his BS in chemistry from the University of Illinois, a certificate in Network Software Technology Management from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Larry is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS), and the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (IPSE)
